India has used potli bags since the beginning of time. These lovely bags have endured through the ages and are today acknowledged as a fashion accessory for all people, regardless of age or gender. In essence, potli bags are created from a luxurious fabric, preferably satin, velvet, or silk. The fabric is then decorated and fitted with a drawstring so that the bag may be opened and closed.
